The BNAC would welcome donations from individuals or institutions who value what we do. Donors may of course earmark donated funds for a specific purpose, but here are some indicative examples:
A donation of £50 would enable us to provide a bursary to enable a student to attend our annual Nepal Study Day.
A donation of £1000 would cover the cost of:
– inviting a speaker from Nepal to deliver our Annual Lecture
OR
– a bursary to enable a UK-based research student to present a paper at the annual conference on Nepal and Himalayan Studies in Kathmandu
A donation of around £25,000 would enable us to offer a one-year Masters studentship for a Nepali national at a British university.
A donation of around £75,000 would enable us to offer a three-year doctoral research studentship for a Nepali national at a British university.
A donation of around £2.5 million would enable us to create a lectureship at a British university.
We would also welcome donations that would enable us to work more closely on educational programmes that would benefit Nepali communities in the UK.
All donations will be publicly acknowledged on the donations page of our website unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous.
