Marking the 200 years of the establishment of Britain-Nepal relations, BNAC is going to organize a workshop on 23rd March 2016. The workshop, which will be organized in Djam Lecture Theatre SOAS, London will see eight papers presented followed by discussions on the historical aspects of Britain-Nepal relations.
The workshop is free and open to all but registration is necessary to attend this event and can be done by visiting the page of SOAS South Asian Institute or directly to this link.
There will be a public event in the evening starting with a reception (17.45-18.45) followed by an important Bicentenary Public Lecture (18.45-19.45) to be given by historian John Whelpton on ‘The Limits of Nationalism: Political Identity in Nepal and the British Isles’
